Lyn joins us as u!imagine’s Online Learning Innovation Leader. Lyn has over 20 years’ experience working as a lecturer in library, education and IT programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across blended and online modes. Lyn has considerable experience in learning design using a range of asynchronous and synchronous technologies to enhance teacher presence, student engagement, and collaboration with professional communities.
Lyn has led innovative teaching and learning projects at school and faculty levels, and contributed to blended learning initiatives at CSU as a Flexible Learning Institute Fellow. She has been involved in a number of scholarship in teaching projects exploring the affordances of social networking technologies and virtual worlds as learning environments, and has recently completed her PhD on the use of Web 2.0 technologies to support students as inquiry learners. In her position as OLIL, Lyn is responsible for supporting the integration of innovative pedagogical approaches and emerging technologies in online learning design, establishing and maintaining staff innovation networks, and facilitating scholarship in online learning initiatives. Lyn is based at the Brisbane Ave, Canberra campus.
