About the Summit
The 2016 ICDE Presidents’ Summit, hosted by Charles Sturt University, will be held 20-23 November 2016 at at Cronulla Beach near Sydney, Australia. A beautiful global city and gateway to the Asian business corridor with a magnificent ambiance the backdrop of the world famous Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
The 2016 ICDE Presidents’ Summit entitled ‘A New Era of Leadership and Quality: The Business of Open and Distance Learning 2020’ will focus on new trends in executive leadership, changing paradigms, and innovative approaches for distributed leadership and management practice. The Summit theme will focus on sharing creative and innovative new approaches to leadership, continuous quality improvement and new regional, national and global partnership models. The broader goal of the 2016 President’ Summit is to empower leaders to take a critical look at their own leadership approaches and tap the input from fellow delegates in reformulating their leadership 2020 strategy. Managers do things right . . . leaders do the right things. The Presidents’ Summit 2016 is ultimately about presidents and chief executive officers from across the globe sharing how we can do things right.

Location & Accomodation
Sydney is one of the most vibrant and welcoming cities in the world. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park, the Sydney Zoo and the main business/shopping locales on George Street and at Darling Harbour collectively create an ambiance and experience few cities in the world can emulate. The city is also home to a variety of restaurants and cuisines, museums, and parks that will make your visit complete.

The Summit will be held near Cronulla Beach about 30 minutes south of the airport and Sydney city centre. The main hotel and meeting venue for the 2016 ICDE Presidents’ Summit is the Rydges Cronulla Beach Hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean with magnificent views from nearly every room.

The Cronulla Train Station is a 5 minute walk from the hotels giving you easy access to downtown Sydney by train or taxi (approx. 1 hour).
